By this week I think everyone has heard about the unrest at the University of Missouri in one way or another. If not, to provide a summation of events, after several incidents happened on the campus surrounding racial discrimination and injustice, students of color on the campus protested, held a hunger strike and wrote a list of demands to their administration. This led to the resignation of their former University President Tim Wolfe and a change in several administration/faculty positions at the campus. We wanted to examine the way in which the media handles circumstances such as these and to help us do so we have Christina Coleman. Christina is the managing editor of NewsOne and a contributing editor for Global Grind.
